What changed in each release, newest first.

What changed in each ClientOS release, newest first. To update, go to Settings → License → Updates in your admin, or run sudo clientos update on your server. Every update takes a backup first. See Updates and backups.

27 October 2026

  • Take part of the price upfront: a service can ask for a percentage or a fixed amount at checkout, and the rest stays on the invoice until you press Request balance. An invoice you write by hand can do the same.
  • Google sign-in for your clients is now connected at Settings → Integrations, with the redirect address to copy into Google Cloud. If you had set it up on the server before, it is moved over by itself.
  • Refunds and credit payouts are safer: a pending refund is never paid out twice, and a payout the provider fails later puts the client's credit back.
  • A card renewal that is retried after an interruption is never charged twice.
  • An invoice with a partial credit note, paid in full, now creates its order.
  • Outstanding and overdue totals on the invoice list count only your own currency.
  • Subscriptions bought with several packages show each extra once on their invoices.
  • Coupons expire at midnight in your timezone, not UTC.
  • People who have left your team stop getting notifications, and their chats go to whoever manages messages.
  • Reminders for overdue invoices, missing briefs, due tasks and unanswered chats keep reaching new items on busy accounts.
  • Admin links opened in a new tab, and the address after saving a service or form, now stay in the admin.
  • On a service page, the name, email and Continue sit on one line.
  • The installer waits for ClientOS to start before showing Continue to setup, and shows the error if starting fails.
  • Restoring a backup on a new server keeps the license, and re-running the installer no longer upgrades without a backup.
